Pokémon Nails!

Happy Friday! YAY! For a really fun, almost weekend look, I'll share with you my Pokémon nails!

Shade

Natural Light

These are painted with acrylics over white nail polish, then finished with top coat. As you can see, we have a Poké Ball, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu. Given that this was my first time painting with acrylics on my nails, I think it turned out pretty well! :)

NOTD: Orange and Glitter

Hey there! Today I have a fun look to show you... orange and glitter! I started off with OPI Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?, which is a very summer-y orange jelly. Shown here is 3 really thick coats, which almost brought it to full opacity. It definitely dried shiny, though! I then topped off the look with Ooh La Lacquer's Regulation Hottie, which contains an array of rainbow shards in a light red-tinted base. These photos don't have topcoat... so I was super happy with how flat Regulation Hottie laid on the nail.

As a note, something in this combination REALLY stained my nails. And not a yellow stain either... this looks more like a light henna stain. :S I have a sneaky suspicion it might be Regulation Hottie... I'll have to check before reporting back officially.

LynBDesigns Sacré Blurple

LOOK AT THIS COLOR!!! LOOK AT IT!!!!

Ahhhh!!!! It's so pretty... I won it in a flash giveway on Facebook held by LynBDesigns.

The colors in her Etsy shop are so gorgeous, it was rather difficult to pick out just one!

I chose Sacré Blurple, this beautiful crelly royal blue. GORGEOUS!!!!!!! This is three medium coats, which have built up to a nice, rich opaque color. I definitely want to use this soon in a jelly sandwich... it's sheer enough to do it, so why not? YAY!

Manicure Monday: I Got Glequins!

In case you're unfamiliar with what a glequin is, they're an awesome mix between a piece of glitter and a sequin. Nailasaurus did a great explanation post here that is definitely worth checking out!

Anywhos, I bought some glequins from the Born Pretty Store and just had to use them once they finally arrived.

These were super hard to photograph! I used the gold, silver, light blue, and teal (I wouldn't have called them green) glequins to do small stacked triangles and a lined accent nail. The base color is OPIs Cuckoo For This Color, which my mom bought me as a random present. YAY! Of course I topped these off with a generous helping of top coat to keep everything in place.
